Question:
I am looking to beef up my 2012 ram 1500 rear suspension but am looking for a bit more support than helper air bags. I understand the load limits of my truck. That being said can this part number be installed on a 1500, or is the frame and axle physically different from 2500s

The frame and suspension is different between the 1500 and 2500 series 2012 Dodge Ram so the parts are not interchangeable. But if you want the most capacity for a 1500, take a look at the Timbren springs # TDRTT1500. These guys are rated for 7,000 pounds and would be ideal for beefing up your suspension.
The Timbren springs will provide leveling support independently of each other, increase stability and ride quality, and reduce side to side body roll. I have included a link to an FAQ article on Timbren springs for you.
