Question:
For towing a 1,900lb trailer, Ive had your transmission fluid cooler D13503 installed on this Subaru, and that worked very well on our 2,500 mile road trip to and from Oregon earlier this month. The engine oil temperature became a problem though, rising on uphill stretches in outside temperatures over 90F, to 250F. The 3.6L engine has plenty of power, but 250F is uncomfortably high and the a/c shuts down above about 248F. So Ive been looking around and found your Engine Oil Cooler products D15405 and D15660, which look suitable. Your web site confirmed that the D13503 transmission fluid cooler would fit on our Subaru, but Im not seeing a similar confirmation for the D15405 or the D15660. Can you give me an opinion on this, or recommend another of your products, or maybe some thoughts on exactly where to install it? Thanks

Engine oil coolers can fit any vehicle so long as there is room for it to install. So the best oil cooler, the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Engine Cooler Kit # D15660 measures 13" wide x 10" tall x 5-5/8" deep so you'd need that much room in your 2017 Subaru Outback.
The larger the cooler, the better the cooling, so if you can fit this cooler in I recommend it, otherwise there is the 9-7/8" wide x 9-1/2" tall x 1-1/4" deep Engine Oil Cooler Kit # D15405 you mentioned which is also a very good cooler but takes up less room.
I have added links to the installation instructions for you of both the Engine Oil Cooler Kit # D15405 and # D15660.
