Are there any specific canoe mounts for this rack, or is it just tie in place?

There are not specific mounts to carry a canoe on the DeeZee Invis-A-Rack # DZ951550, you can modify the cutout inside the Malone Deluxe Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Foam Block Style part # MPG152 to make them work for your kayak. These pads are about 15" wide. If you need something wider, the Rhino-Rack # RRRWP03 would be a better choice at 21" long. Both of these will work to help reduce movement and keep help reduce any scratching/damage to your boat while in transit.

Both of those pad sets come with tie down straps but if your canoe is longer and heavier than a kayak (which I'm assuming yours is), the OroGrip Cam Buckle straps # 317-412080 would do a good job for this task.
