Question:
I have a 2008 Silverado LTZ 1500 5.3L / Z71 4X4. Which trans cooler would you recommed for towing a TT close to top of towing capacity?

When choosing a transmission cooler, it is always a good idea to go with the largest one that will fit in the available space in the engine compartment. Also, the most efficient place to mount a cooler is directly behind the grille in front of the A/C condenser.
I recommend cooler # D13504. If measures 11 inches wide, 12 inches tall, and 7/8 inches deep. Check the space in your trucks engine compartment to determine if you have space enough for this cooler. You may also need fitting # D13035 to avoid cutting and flaring lines. I have linked a video showing a typical installation of this cooler and a link to our cooler FAQs.
