Installing Curt Triflex Brake Controller in 2019 Ford Ranger with 7-Way

Question:

I had just purchased this brake controller and had it installed on my Honda Pilot, after 2 months sold my Pilot and bought a 2019 Ford Ranger. What do I need for the install on the Ranger? I only have the C24VV controller, no adapter cables. And am missing the screws that went into the dash. Thanks!

There is brake controller wiring under the dash of your 2019 Ford Ranger that you can use to install your Curt Triflex part # C24VV but it's blunt cut wires so you'd have to use butt connectors to install the controller instead of using a plug in connector.

There will be a 4-wire harness behind the dash at the driver's left wheel well that should be wrapped with some thin blue tape.

Based on my research these 4 wires will be blue, yellow/red, white/purple, and white in color. The blue wire goes to the blue brake output wire on the Triflex, the yellow/red wire is for 12V power and goes to the black wire on the controller, the white wire goes to the white ground wire on the controller, and the white/purple wire goes to the red brake input wire on the controller.

To get new install hardware you'll have to go with a new install bracket # C51144.
