Question:

For the hinge that folds the cargo tray up / down is there a bolt or some other mechanism that stabilizes it when it is in the desired position? Is there any other products that would reduce play in the hinge? thanks

The Curt # C18100 is secured with a pin and clip that makes sure that it stays locked in the upright position when folded up towards the back of the vehicle. Our review video that Randy did, which is linked to this answer, shows you how it operates. You could potentially use a locking hitch pin like the # e98880 but I don't believe it's going to substantially improve the stability over the included hitch pin.
