The correct anti rattle really all depends on what kind of accessory you are using.
If you are using a hollow shank accessory, I recommend using the Curt Anti Rattle Kit Part # C22321. All you have to do is insert the bracket into the shank of your accessory, then insert the threaded hitch pin, tighten it down and your accessory will be as solid as the hitch. You will need to have a wrench whenever you install or remove the accessory. Here at etrailer we use Part # PTW38106-24 in the shop. Keeping an extra tool just for the anti rattle in your vehicle is never a bad idea so you might want to pick up an extra one.
One thing I find with these type of anti rattle devices is that you REALLY have to get the hole lined up PERFECTLY for it to thread in with ease. If you do not get it lined up perfectly you could potentially cross thread the bolt and we don't want that. There's a simple solution to this though, I use the etrailer Hitch Alignment Tool # e98942 on most accessories especially the heavier cargo carriers I use. It makes things a lot easier.
Another option if you're using is hollow, the Let's Go Aero locking anti-rattle hitch pin, part # 63232 would work great. The square block and spring would insert into the end of the hollow shank of the ball mount with the spring and the hole in the block lining up with the hitch pin hole.
A third option is the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch, part # RM-061. The Quiet Hitch bolts around the junction of the ball mount and the receiver tube, locking the two together.
