Where Is the Length of the Stallion Loading Ramps Measured

Is this ramp 48inch long in the rectangular section, and therefore slightly longer including the tabs on the ends? Or is it overall 48, including the tabs?

In regards to loading ramps like the Loading Ramp part # 288-07474, the length includes the lip/tabs on the top or bottom.
