Question:

i have a 2012 ram 1500 big horn with a 5.7 hemi when i hook up my TT 33 ft. it sags and at 50 mph it sways TT wt. is 8388 lbs. empty will the tdr1500 DQ tmbrem bags fix this

Timbren suspension enhancement can help with rear end sag and trailer sway issues. However, with a trailer this heavy it would be more beneficial to use a weight distribution system with sway control. Since 8,388 pounds is the dry weight of your trailer, that puts the tongue weight range at 838 to 1,200 pounds (10 to 15 percent of gross trailer weight) and heavier once loaded and ready to tow.

I recommend going with a system rated for 700 to 1,400 pounds tongue weight like # RP66561. This system comes with the standard shank and friction sway control. The weight distribution spring bars will transfer the weight more equally to all axles of the vehicle and trailer so it will tow level. The friction sway control will help prevent sway.

You will just need to add a properly sized ball to this system like # A-90 for a 2 inch or # 63840 for a 2-5/16 inch. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view and a link to our FAQ article on weight distribution and sway control.

This system does cost a bit more than the Timbren system, however, it will be more effective in preventing sag and sway.
