Will the Electric Trailer Brake Kit AKEBRK-35-SA Work With Surge Hubs/Drums

Question:
This is a boat trailer with 3,500 rated axle. It currently has surge drum brakes. Ive picked out the etrailer self adjusting electric assemblies Id like to purchase AKEBRK-35-SA. My question is can I use my existing drums as long as they are the same diameter and brake shoe width? Thanks,

The Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-35-SA will use your existing hubs/drums so long as they are the proper size. It does not matter if they are for surge or electric brakes, they will be the same.
