How To Tell If a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Has the Tow Package

I am looking for the option to install a 7 way tow plug on our 2017 Wrangler Chief Edition. I dont know if this vehicle has the factory internal wiring already installed to place a brake controller and plug to the rear of the vehicle. Im hoping you could help me locate the factory plugs if they should be in the vehicle already, or if I will need to do a custom install for a 7 way. Thank you in advance.

In order to determine the correct trailer wiring harness and brake controller for a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited you need to know if you have the factory tow package. This should clearly be marked on the window sticker but if you don't have any factory hitch or wiring in place then odds are you don't.
I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55124 with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7 and Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180. This is the best and most least invasive option we have to get you setup towing a trailer with brakes. If you don't already have a trailer hitch, I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98856.
If you don't have the factory window sticker then you'd need to reach out to the manufacturer.
