Question About a Product

Question:

Hi, I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD Off-road double cab with aftermarket old man emu suspension and tow a 2020 RPOD 178 travel trailer. Sag isnt bad the truck sits level, but I do get swaying with lane correction or cross wind. Would a sway bar help, or is a weight-distribution hitch necessary? Can I start with a sway bar and add a WDH later if necessary? Is there a way to do this without drilling into the trailer?

If you are not experiencing sag then you can start with just the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit part # 83660 and the Reese Sway-Control Bracket for 2" Ball Mounts part # RP26003.

There is no good way to attach this other than welding to avoid putting holes in the frame. I know it is not much better.

If this does not get the results you are looking for a weight distribution setup with built in sway control can be a very effective way to resolve it completely.

The Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel # MX59FR has a 4,460 lb weight rating and it has a metal valve stem which means it can handle psi ratings over 100 psi.
