Wire Color for Cold Side of Brake Stoplight Switch on 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 3.4L MT In the video, Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 1999 Toyota Tacoma @ 3:35 when connecting the Brake controller harness it says to connect the red wire to the purple wire on the Brake switch signal. Is the wire color the same for a 1997 Toyota tacoma 4x4 3.4L MT on the Stop light switchinch at the brake pedal?

For your 1997 Toyota Tacoma, the cold side of the brake light switch is a green wire with white tracer based on my research. This is what you will connect the red wire of the # TK90160 to. You can see this install will be similar to the 2003 Tacoma at the 18:30 mark.
