wondering if need a heat sheild for my 2017 duramax diesal borrowing a rock tamer system as mine is on back ordered i wanted to make sure i dont melt his flaps

I suggest using heat shields # RT76FR with the rock tamers # ERT00108 unless you have an aftermarket tip on your exhaust that makes a complete 90 behind the tire.
