Trailer Hitch and Cargo Carrier for 2016 Mazda MX-5

I have a 2016 Mazda Miata. I fly model airplanes and I am looking for trailer hitch and a light weight aluminum cargo container. A buddy recommended the Curt hitch. Any suggestions for a cargo box ?

The Curt hitch part # C11435 is the correct fit for your 2016 Mazda MX-5 and would be the way to go for carrying a cargo carrier like the # C18145. We don't have an aluminum carrier that fits this hitch size but the # C18145 only weighs 29 lbs.
