Are SumoSprings Recommended for 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 That Squats With 5th Wheel Hooked Up

Question:

Why do you suggest the 203-40-2 instead of the 203-47-2? They have a higher capacity rating

I highly recommend using the SumoSprings suspension enhancement on your 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali if your truck is squatting that much. The correct kit for your truck is:

- SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSR-203-40-2

The reason you want to use these springs is because when you have additional capacity in the bed of your truck and you start to sag, the front of the truck will also rise. When that happens, your Sierra won't handle as well as it should because the front tires are not making as much contact with the ground, impacting your traction and steering. What the SumoSprings do is take the brunt of that weight, cushioning the load and helping level and stabilize your truck.

I have added a link to the installation instructions for you to check out as well of the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSR-203-40-2.

That's a good question, and I recommend the 3,000 lb capacity SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSR-203-40-2 over the 5,000 lb capacity SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSR-203-47-2 is because the heavier capacity SumoSprings could create a potentially unpleasant ride on your 2020 GMC Sierra 3500. The larger weight capacity is not going to be more beneficial for a 14,000 lb 5th wheel and because they are stiffer, your unloaded ride - depending on the terrain - could get rougher with that much capacity. Due to that I recommend the 3,000 lb capacity SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSR-203-40-2.
