Can Weight Distribution Shank be Used Like a Regular Ball Mount

Question:

I have a shank for a weight distribution hitch, I no longer own the trailer or distribution hitch and want to try and reuse the shank. Do you guys carry a boot on ball or something to mount to it to use it as a standard hitch?

While there are plenty of adjustable ball mounts that have a similar style to a weight distribution (WD) shank, like the Pro Series # RP63971, there are no pieces that can be combined with a weight distribution shank to make it like a typical ball. The only way to accomplish this is to purchase a WD head unit and use it like a ball mount but that is still fairly costly and will be much heavier too.

I've attached a link to our selection of adjustable ball mounts for you to filter through since there are a wide variety of applications. I personally like the B&W Tow & Stow 3-ball mounts like part # BWTS10048B simply because they are easy to use, include any hitch ball size you'd need, and they store neatly out of the way.
