Are New Hubs/Drums Required To Use the Hydraulic Brake Kit AKFBBRK-7-D

Question:

I have my original set of hubs. They are in good condition because I dont tow my boat far each year. Do I need to upgrade to newer hubs to use this brake kit?

If you replace the braking assemblies with the same size you currently have then you won't need new hubs and drums as well. The Hydraulic Brake Kit part # AKFBBRK-7-D measures 12" diameter x 2" wide which is standard for a 5,200 lb - 7,000 lb axles so as long as that is what you have then you won't need to replace the hubs and drums as well.
