Newly Set Combination on Master Lock Safe Space Portable Safe Won't Open Box

It sounds like there may have been an issue when setting the combination on your Master Lock Safe Space Portable Storage Box # ML5900D but there are a couple of things we can try to get this back open for you. If you haven't already tried using the starter combination (0-0-0-0) to open the case, I would start with that. If you have, let's move on.

It's possible that maybe the combination you were trying to use wasn't set correctly and one of the numbers is off by 1, either up or down. I would put in the combination that you chose and then start going 1 number up and 1 number down on each of the 4 numbers on your lock; for example- if you chose the combination 1-2-3-4, you'll start by trying 0-2-3-4 and 2-2-3-4. Then you'd try 1-1-3-4 and 1-3-3-4. You'll want to run through each of these possible combinations and see if the box opens.

If the combination releases the cable but the safe still won't open, you'll want to carefully try to pry the box open while making slight adjustments on the combination wheels since it may just be slightly off and sticking because it's new.
