Roof Thickness Required for Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner and Air Distribution Box

Is it possible to mount this ac unit on a enclosed box trailer roof with a thickness of only 2 inches

I have spoken to Furrion about the specific roof thickness required to use their Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner and Air Distribution Box # FR52PR and they confirmed it requires thickness of 3-1/2 inches to 6 inches, as specified in the instructions.

There may be another option for you with the selections from Advent:

- Advent Air RV Air Conditioner with Air Distribution Box and Start Capacitor - 13,500 Btu # ACM135C

- Advent Air RV Air Conditioner with Air Distribution Box and Start Capacitor - 15,000 Btu # ACM150C

These are for roofs that are 2-1/2 inches thick or have a 200 lb static load capacity and framed with 3/4 inch lumber (which you will need to add) so I recommend checking with your trailer manufacturer to see what the load capacity of your trailer roof is.
