When the trail gets bumpy or the road turns to washboard, this Roughneck Mach 15 system keeps cooling without shaking apart. The reinforced rooftop unit ties the compressor and coil into a solid frame with a steel coil housing and sturdy basepan. Together, they keep vibrations from tearing things loose, so you still get steady 15,000 Btu cooling even on dusty job sites or backcountry runs.
If you’ve ever had an AC that ran for hours without really cooling the space, this one changes that. Its non-ducted design moves cool air directly into the cabin, letting you feel the difference in minutes. It’s built for smaller builds that don’t use ductwork, and with 15,000 Btu of power backed by R32 refrigerant, it keeps air dry, cool, and comfortable no matter how hot it gets outside.
No need to hunt for a remote or climb over gear just to change a setting. The air distribution box mounts at the ceiling with easy-turn knobs right on the horizontal surface. You can fine-tune fan speed and cooling level or aim airflow using front and rear dampers. When it’s time to clean up, pop-out grilles give quick access to washable filters—no tools required.
Cold mornings don’t have to mean firing up a separate heater. This system is prepped for an optional 5,600 Btu heat strip (sold separately), giving you a simple way to warm up before sunrise or when weather turns fast. It’s an easy add-on that makes your setup more comfortable through changing seasons.
Swapping out a worn unit or doing a fresh install is easier when everything’s made to work together. This kit includes a medium-profile rooftop air conditioner and matching air distribution box sized for a standard 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" opening. Both pieces are built to fit right and run reliably from day one—no mixing parts or guessing at compatibility.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at this Coleman Mach Roughneck Mach 15, 15,000 BTU ductless RV AC system with this textured white cover. Now one of the biggest headaches in RV repairs is trying to figure out which parts are compatible with each other. But this kit's gonna take all that off of your plate. This rooftop unit comes with an air distribution box and the hardware that you're gonna need to install this. Everything is designed to work together, so installation's gonna go a whole lot smoother for you.
Nothing's gonna catch you off guard. So, whether you're doing the installation yourself or you've got someone else doing it for you, having everything designed as a kit is going to make the job go faster, it's gonna be cleaner and a whole lot less stressful for you. Now this Roughneck series is specifically designed for harsher environments. So, if you travel in areas with extreme heat, lots of dust or rugged terrain, this unit is made to hold up better than your standard rooftop AC. This does have a sturdier build and reinforced components so it won't get rattled apart as easily on those bumpy roads.
And this system is made for your RV without the ducted air. So, this is gonna be perfect if you're replacing an old setup or if you're adding maybe a second unit to cool a separate space. And at 15,000 BTUs, this is going to give you about 10 to 12% more cooling power than a 13,500 BTU unit. And so this is also gonna be designed for your larger RVs or campers. Think about 30 feet and larger.
So, this will be especially great for you if you have slide outs or maybe if you're, if you find yourself more frequently in those hot and humid climates where that extra capacity is going to do a good job of keeping your RV or camper more comfortable. Inside of this unit are large coils and air flow boosting fins that are gonna help pull the heat out more efficiently so your RV's gonna stay cooler with less strain on the system. Giving you some measurements here. Looking at the overall length from back to front, we're about 38 inches long. The overall width is going to be right at about 27 and a half inches wide.
The overall height about 14 inches tall. This weighs about 85 pounds and this is going to fit over your standard roof openings of about 14 and a quarter inches by 14 and a quarter inches. The streamlined medium profile shroud is going to reduce drag and it has a textured finish, kinda like a matte finish, so it's not glossy. So, I think it's going to do a good job of holding up for you real well, a great job of protecting those internal components from dirt and debris and water. And if you notice, there's a little bit of give inside of this cover, so it's not hard and rigid like some other covers that I've seen are. So, I think it's gonna give a little bit more if you happen to hit something. I don't think this is going to crack as easily as those harder, more rigid covers. I do like the textured finish. I think the white is going to blend in with a lot of modern RV aesthetics. So, being that this is not glossy but it's textured, I think it's gonna weather better than those glossy, harder shrouds. It's gonna be easy to remove and replace if you ever need to do any maintenance to it on the inside. And I wanna give you a closeup view of this side of the table here. I wanted to just talk briefly about the components here. Our air distribution box is gonna give you full control right at the ceiling level. You've got your fan control and your temperature control here. So, simple knobs that you're gonna be able to reach. You're gonna be able to direct the airflow where needed with these knobs. And then the filters are gonna be reusable. You're gonna be able to easily clean them. If you do rinse them out, just make sure that they are completely dry before you pop them back in to the air distribution box. Giving you some measurements here. Looking at the overall length, about 21 and three quarters inches long. The overall width about 20 and three quarters inches wide. And this is going to stick down from your ceiling about two inches or so. Everything that you see here is included, hardware. So again, it's really nice to get a complete kit like this. Now, this system is not going to be backwards compatible with any AC system from 2024 and earlier due to this using the new R-32 refrigerant that meets the 2025 EPA regulations. So, that's why getting a kit like this is great because everything here is designed to work with that new R-32 refrigerant. So, just be aware of that. And sometimes it's not cold enough to kick on your furnace, but still it can be a little too chilly to be comfortable. I do wanna point out that a heat strip is sold separately that you could pick up if you just want something to take the chill out of the air, especially on those early potentially frosty mornings. So, if you don't want to kick on your furnace, but you want something to take the chill outta the air, take a look at that heat strip. I'm including the model number there for you on your screen. You can take that model number, pop it in the search field of our website. That will take you to that heat strip. And if you decide to add that to your order, it's gonna be a pretty simple install inside this AC unit. If you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this kit or anything else that we have here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
