How To Tow Both Gooseneck and 5th Wheel Trailers With a 2018 Ram 3500 Without Prep

Question:

I have a 2018 Dodge 3500 with the puck system in the bed. I have been looking at the BandW turnover ball so I could get a companion 5th wheel hitch and pull both gooseneck trailers and 5th wheel trailers. I then saw the Curt OEM gooseneck hitch C60626 and it looks like an easier install than a BandW. Is there any 5th wheel hitch that will work with Curt C60626?

If you have a 2018 Ram 3500 WITH the factory prep package then you only need a hitch ball to tow a gooseneck trailer like part # BWGNXA2062 and a fifth wheel hitch that mounts in the pucks like part # BWRVK3600 to tow a fifth wheel trailer. If you have a 2018 Ram 3500 WITHOUT the factory prep package then you need a gooseneck hitch in order to tow a gooseneck trailer like part # BWGNRK1314 and a gooseneck to fifth wheel hitch adapter like part # BWRVK3500 in order to tow a fifth wheel trailer. If you have the factory prep package then you will have a set of four pucks with a center gooseneck hitch ball opening but if you don't have the factory prep package then you will just have the indentation in the bed.

If you want to use the Curt Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # C60626 which is a fit for models without the factory tow package then your only option to tow a fifth wheel trailer is with the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # DM8550045.
