Is there a preferred method to mount this awing to a RhinoRack Large Basket

The Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning part # RR32133 can be attached one of two ways. The first way would be to attach inside the channels on a Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack. The second way would be to attach inside the channels on a set of crossbars with top channels. If you have flush crossbars with top channels, then you could use part # RR32123 or part # RR32127 but those are your only options.
The Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning will not mount direct to a cargo basket but so long as your crossbars have top channels you can simply slide the basket over to one side and then mount the awning in the space available.
If you don't have top channels in your crossbars then you'll need a different awning such as the Yakima SlimShady Awning part # Y36VR which uses mounts that wrap around the crossbars.
