Does 2019 Chevy Equinox Need Charge Cable to Flat Tow With Roadmaster InvisiBrake

Question:
I am unfamiliar with an RV wiring system, but my semi truck setup has the 7 pin round. I currently need to use a converter box in order to convert the 7 pin round to a 4 wire system so my lights work appropriately. Does the invisibrake control unit have this converter box built in, or will I still need my converter box adapter? Also, my 2019 equinox requires me to leave my accessory switch on and battery connected for flat towing. The manufacturer requires a charge cable to be run from the tow vehicle. Will the trickle charge from the invisibrake unit be enough to keep my battery charged, or will I still require the use of a separate charge cable? Thanks Tim

The Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700 does not have any type of converter, and though we are not familiar with semi truck wiring, I would assume you would still need to use it. The InvisiBrake will also not keep your battery charged so it is recommended you follow Chevy's instructions in regards to a charge cable. The rest of the parts you'll need to flat tow your 2019 Chevy Equinox are:
- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-523193-5
- Tow Bar: Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676
- Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751489
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 (Premier models) or Roadmaster - -- Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs # RM-155 (non-Premier models)
You may also need a high-low adapter in order to keep your Equinox level, and I've added a link to a help article which shows you how to determine if you need an adapter, as well as a link to our selection of adapters. Additionally, I have added links to instruction manuals, video reviews and installations for you to take a look at.

I bought a second car kit for my 2015 equinox. I removed the invisible brake form my 2010 wrangler the wrangler had diodes installed. Do I need to install diodes to my equinox. And if so is there a special connector for this. The color code seems different then most grn./ brn. Yellow / brn. On the equinox. Thank you
