Typically, a small block V8 engine would need 2,200 to 3,000 CFM. A big block V8 would need 3,400 to 4,500 CFM. I recommend going with the highest CFM in a fan that will fit in the available space on your Ford F-250. The fan that you have referenced, # D16934, would be plenty of air flow. This fan is designed as a puller only, and gets mounted behind the radiator to pull air through.
You would need to have a space 31-3/8 inches wide, 15-3/4 inches tall, and 3-1/4 inches deep behind the radiator.
Some fans can be configured as pushers or pullers depending on the available space you have where you want to mount the fan. Make sure you look in the specs and features to see the dimensions and whether a fan is a pusher, puller, or can be either.
