Question:

Will this rack accommodate a 60 wheel base recumbent? Can it be extended to do that? Do you have an additional product that does?

Expert Reply:

The S64670 bike rack has wheel base adjustment of up to 55 inches and would not work for your recumbent bike. We carry two models of bike racks that will accommodate a recumbent bike and they are the XTC-2 wheel mount bike carrier S64670 and the Thule roof mount TH558P Tandem Carrier that requires a roof rack. The XTC-2 has a maximum wheel base of 66 inches and the Tandem Carrier has a 75 inch long wheel tray. If you select the XTC-2 carrier, the maximum bike weight limit is 35 pounds per bike. On the Thule Tandem Carrier, you should be sure to positioned the carrier above the support towers. See links below to view these items.
