Will The Ultra Faucet RV Drinking Water Faucet Install in a 1-1/2" Thick Counter Top

Question:
We have a 1.5inch thick countertop. Will we have to drill out a recess underneath in order for this faucet to work?

The Ultra Faucets RV Drinking Water Faucet part # 277-000189 has an inlet shank of 2-1/4" but once all the hardware is installed you are right at 1-1/2" so it will be a tight fit. You may need to drill out a recess to make sure the hardware threads but I recommend to dry fit it without doing that first. Just drop the inlet shank with the base and hand tighten the hardware. If you can't tighten them you will need to make a small recess.
