Correct Upgrade Kit for 1997 Newmar Country Star with Electric Double Steps

Question:

I have a 1997 Newmar Country Star and my electric double step will extend when I open the door, but will not retract completely. It has the old control module with PN 909506000 on it. Can I replace the control unit, motor, gear box, and Linkage with the Kit LC379145 that has #909770000 on it? Or do I absolutely have to replace the entire step? And if so, how do I know which step will bolt up and work? Thanks

I spoke with Lippert and they were able to confirm the Motor Upgrade Kit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps part # LC379145 is correct for a set of double electric steps that use the 909506000 controller.
