The easy way to do the initial adjustment of self adjusting brake assemblies is install them and then just drive slowly in like a parking lot and grab the manual override lever of your brake controller repeatedly till the brakes were adjusted. With every application of the brakes while the trailer is moving they will click tighter until they are fully set.
