How to Convert my 7-way to a 6-way round?

Question:
I purchased a Nighthawk #677 Tow Bar Assembly for my RV and Toad. I will be using the Tow Bar behind my 2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500 with Itasca 23J conversion and towing a 2014 Smart Car Model 451. My RV has a 6 pin round female connector installed by Winnebago. I will be using the 6 pin female connector and socket supplied with the 9284-2 Combo Kit on my Smart Car wired into a Brite-Lite™ Wiring Converter RV is separate lights and Smart Car is combined lights. My problem is my Nighthawk bar came with a 6- to 7-wire power cord with one 6-wire plug attached, one 7-wire plug attached, and the 6-wire electrical socket for use on the Smart Car/Toad. What do I have to do to convert the 7 wire power cord male end of the Nighthawk power cable to a 6 pin round male end so that I can connect it to my 6 pin round female on my RV? Im far from an electrical genius. How difficult is it to rewire the RV from 6 to 7 pin versus buying a 7 to 6 pin adapter? I dont want the modification to look like a Rube Goldberg adaptation. Thank you,

We have a couple of solutions for you you could simply use an adapter like you mentioned the Buyers Products 6-Way Round to 7-Way Blade RV Adapter with 8" Prewired Cable part # 337TC1067P would do the job but is an adapter so you're adding points of failure there.
I instead recommend adding a 7-way female socket on the back of your coach again an idea you had. The wiring process is very simple and I can provide you with the wiring schematics to guide you through it. To do this you will want the 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets w/ Mounting Bracket and Wiring - Vehicle End part # HM40975-11998 this gives you the socket on your RV that has both the very common 4-way flat and 7-way (so you can pull anything you might encounter in the future), it has the mounting bracket and also the pigtail so you wont need to worry about length simply cut it to your desired length.
The only thing I would add to this would be Heat Shrink Butt Connectors part # DW05745-10 these will give you a superior connection and prevent moisture from getting into the wires causing corrosion.
I've Linked the products below and have included the diagrams you will need to successfully get your installation completed!
