Question:
I need to install the rear air lift springs # F2250 to help with my towing of a fifth wheel RV. I recently installed the 50043-6008 Rail Kit Brackets for my Reece hitch on 2001 F250 Super Duty 4WD and I wanted to know if this air lift kit will work with my newly installed 50043-6008 Rail Kit brackets I purchased from etrailer?

Expert Reply:
Both the # RP50043 brackets and the Firestone brackets # F2550 for your 2001 Ford F-250 install on the inboard side of the vehicle frame rails so they cannot be installed at the same time.
What I recommend is a Timbren system, # TFR250SDE, that installs on the bottom of the frame rail and will not interfere. I have included some instructional links for you to view. This system will work well for towing a 5th wheel trailer and they will not affect the non-loaded ride of the vehicle. I have included a link to an FAQ article on Timbren systems for you.
