Recommended Camera System for Pre-Wired 2019 Keystone Montana

Question:

We bought a new 2019 Keystone Montana 3701LK that is prewired for a Furrion back up camera you can see the name on the RV in the picture. We currently have a Garmin RV GPS system that has Bluetooth capability for cameras. Will any camera work on the RV , or do we have to use Furrion. Does the Furrion cameras only work with their on screen display?

The pre-wired bracket on your new 2019 Keystone Montana 3701LK will only plug into the corresponding Furrion camera systems like the Vision S # FOS05TASF, which is my personal recommendation. That's not to say though that another brand system couldn't be installed on your trailer, it's just that it wouldn't offer a plug-and-play install into that bracket. You would need to hardwire the camera into the trailer's running lights or reverse circuit for power and would likely need a new bracket for mounting.

You are right that the Furrion systems like the Vision S will only work with their own monitors, so there isn't a way to tie the camera into your existing Garmin screen. The # FOS05TASF does come with a really nice 5" touch monitor and is also compatible with up to 4 different cameras, so you have the ability to add more cameras down the line, such as the Marker Light Side Cameras # FCE48TASL.

Due to the ease of install that the Furrion system provides along with its excellent quality, I do recommend going this route instead of installing a different brand system to your new trailer.
