There are a few primary differences between the Adarac Pro Series Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4000963 and the Custom Ladder Rack # A90190 for your 2018 Chevy Silverado with the 5-1/2 foot bed.

The first is the overall construction of the rack. The Pro model features an aluminum construction throughout for superior corrosion resistance, while the Custom model uses a black powder coated steel for the uprights and aluminum for the crossbars.

The actual design on the uprights also differs between the two systems, as the Adarac Pro features uprights that extend vertically up to the crossbars. The Adarac Custom on the other hand features angled uprights that lean in towards the middle of the bed as they extend towards the crossbars. The advantage of the straight uprights on the Adarac Pro is that they allow for a fold-up tonneau cover to be folded along the length of the bed without knocking into them.

The crossbars themselves are also longer on the Adarac Pro at 72" compared to the 62" on the Custom setup. The longer crossbars will just provide you with more mounting space for your cargo.

With all of this in mind I definitely recommend the Adarac Pro # A4000963 for your Silverado.
