Does the Drip Rail Need To Be Removed To Install a Solera RV Slide-Out Awning

Question:

My trailer has aluminum drip rails above the slides. Will these need to be removed before installing a slide cover?

Yes, the Solera RV Slide-Out Awnings like part # LCV000163287 which fits 80" - 85" wide slide-outs (flange to flange) will require that you remove the drip rail. However, the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning will take the place of the drip rail in regards to function so you should not have any worries here. If you wanted, you could reinstall the drip rail above the awning but this is not really needed.
