It is true that we recommend using 2 friction anti-sway systems like the Curt # 17200 when the trailer exceeds 26' long. This is simply because 1 system won't be effective enough to make a difference.

I believe that you are referring to the Curt Forged Ball Mount # C45458 which has a 4" drop and fits 2-1/2" hitch receivers. You can have 2 of the weld-on sway control tab # C45822 installed on this ball mount so you can use 2 of the kit # 17200 and it would work just fine.

Even though the friction sway-control is an option, I would like to just inform you that this is an older style of anti-sway and that it prevents you from being able to back up without first disengaging the anti-sway devices. If you fail to do so then you can damage them and have to replace them. If your trailer has electric brakes (which something this large should) then a more effective system that won't require you to disengage when backing up is an electronic sway control system.

Electronic sway control isn't as cost-effective as the friction systems but they are more effective, less maintenance, they allow you to back up without disconnecting anything, and they install in such a way that you don't have more things to connect/disconnect when you are pickup up or dropping off your trailer. The best option is the Tuson # 335TSC-1000 because it has codes that allow for easy troubleshooting should something happen so that's what I recommend going with.
