When installed, approximately how far does the bar extension go beyond the side of your vehicle?

It's very difficult to answer that question, as the extension of the # RR-RUSL will depend on the length of the crossbars used on the vehicle. According to rhino rack, when extended fully, the bar will extend out past the end of the crossbar approximately 2-1/2 feet.
