No Power To 4-Way With Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness On a 2003 Jeep Liberty

Question:

I installed this on my 2003 Liberty. Once I finished I checked to see if I was getting power at the 4 way. Didnt have power. I did read that most issues are from a bad ground connection so I reattached the ground screw behind the left tail light. Still no power. Can you help?

There are only two possible issues that could cause the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55382 which is a fit for a 2003 Jeep Liberty not to function correctly. The first is that the pins inside each of the t-connectors are not perfectly seated whether that be from the pins being bent or just not fully engaged so be sure to check that. The next is as you mentioned a bad ground. Please note, you need bare metal contact with the ground wire so be sure you have sanded some of the painted surface away prior to attaching the ground.

Finally, if both of the above do not yield any results then test the wires entering the converter box from the tail lights to see if you have power. If you do have power then that would indicate a bad converter box and I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118524 as a replacement.
