Question:
Is there a gooseneck adapter that will work for my 5th wheel. I have 47inch from center to gooseneck hitch to back of Yamaha flatbed. When gooseneck and 5th wheel connector are lined up vetically I have only 9inch of clearence from back of truck bed to the 5th wheel trailer. I have 11 1/4inch between the gooseneck hitch and bottom of 5th wheel plate on the trailer.

To determine if the Ranch Hitch Fifth-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter with 8 Inch Offset, # AM3139, that you referenced will allow you to tow your fifth wheel trailer without hitting the back corner of your truck bed, you will need to know the distance between the center of the gooseneck ball to the back corner of your truck bed.
By using this coupler adapter, you will gain 8 inches from the center of your gooseneck hitch ball to your fifth wheel trailer. Based on the measurements that you have provided, you will have approximately 64 inches from the center of the gooseneck hitch ball to the fifth wheel trailer. You will also need to add 4 inches of additional clearance to allow for the pitch when going over bumps or dips in the road.
As long as the distance from the center of the gooseneck hitch ball to the back corner of your Yamaha truck bed is not greater than 60 inches, then you will not have to worry about your fifth wheel trailer hitting the corners of your truck bed.
You mentioned you measured 11-1/4 inches between the gooseneck hitch and the bottom of the fifth wheel plate on your trailer. Your measurement should be from the top of the gooseneck ball in the bed of your truck to the pin plate on the bottom of the pin box. It is recommended for that measurement to be between 11-3/4 inches and 14-3/4 inches for these adapters to work.
You will not be able to use a fifth-wheel-to-gooseneck adapter on a trailer that is using an extended pin box over 24 inches long or an Air-Ride coupler.
I am including a link to a FAQ page on adapters for towing a fifth wheel trailer with a gooseneck hitch.
