Question:

Hello. Have a 2020 Ram 1500 and just trying to get rid of some sag when towing or loading the bed up. Looking at the SumoSprings and Firestone air bags. Obviously a big difference between the two but wondering which one would be best for my setup? Recommendation? Thanks.

As you mentioned, there are some pretty big differences between a jounce-style spring setup like the SumoSprings # SSR-307-47 and an air bag kit like the Firestone # F4130 for your 2020 Ram 1500, both in terms of install/maintenance and actual performance. The jounce springs definitely offer the easier install and require no maintenance thereafter, while the air bags are bit more intensive to setup and would need to be adjusted based on your truck's load.

If you are okay with this though I do recommend the Firestone Coil-Rite Kit # F4130 over the SumoSprings because they are just going to give you a much more comfortable ride. The SumoSprings will likely create a pretty rough ride whenever you're driving empty, while the Firestone air bags can be adjusted to work perfectly in any application, maintaining a smooth and level ride regardless of what you're hauling or pulling. If sag is a main concern, air bags are definitely the better option too because of their adjustability. With jounce-style springs there's still going to be a gap that needs to be filled before they engage, meaning you would still have some sag with that type of system installed.
