Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2020 Subaru Forester

Question:

Looking to set my 2020 Subaru Forester up for towing a light camper trailer. Can you please recommend the hitch and wiring kits, thanks!.

Starting with the trailer hitch for your 2020 Subaru Forester, I highly recommend the EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7391 because of its hidden crosstube design that allows only the 2" receiver to be visible on the vehicle. This maintains a sleek, from-the-factory appearance on your brand new Forester. I have attached a couple images below so you can see exactly how this will look when installed.

The Class III hitch features a 3,500 pound towing weight capacity, a 525 pound tongue weight limit, and is made right here in the USA. I have included a full installation video that you can use for reference as well.

Then for trailer wiring the Tekonsha T-One # 118467 will work perfectly. This custom harness will plug right into a factory port in the rear cargo area to provide you with a 4-Way connector for powering a trailer's basic signal lights.
