I have a 2019 VW Golf "R" Model and need a hitch. What is the difference between the EcoHitch and the Draw-Tite models available for my car?

The primary difference between the EcoHitch # 306-X7332, EcoHitch # 306-X7333 and the Draw-Tite # 24975 is that the Draw-Tite # 24975 and EcoHitch # 306-X7333 only have 1-1/4" receivers, where the EcoHitch has a 2" receiver. When available, I generally find it more beneficial for customers to go with a 2" hitch when they are available for their vehicle and within their price range. Both of these hitches mount behind the bumper and provide a concealed cross tube design that will leave only the receiver visible, so the installation is going to be just as labor intensive for both of these.

The benefit of going with a hitch that has a 2" receiver is that there are many more hitch mounted accessories that are designed for 2" hitches than there are 1-1/4" receivers. Additionally, the shanks on 2" hitch accessories are thicker, stronger and less prone to swaying on the back of your vehicle than a 1-1/4" shank. You're also going to find that if you want to carry a cargo carrier of some sort on the back of your vehicle, the options for the smaller 1-1/4" receivers are limited.

If I had to choose one, and money was no object, I would go with the EcoHitch # 306-X7332 because the 2" hitch receiver provides me with a lot more flexibility in what I can use it for than a 1-1/4" receiver. I've linked an installation video of one of the EcoHitches to give you an idea of what the installation process would be for any of the above mentioned hitches.
