For your 2020 Subaru Ascent I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Part # 76253. It not only is the best for bike racks because of its higher tongue weight rating which reduces flex but also is the best for towing because it is rated for weight distribution. It gives you the best look available as well. It is designed to fit behind the factory hitch cover and will not alter the looks of your Ascent when not in use. You simply remove the cover to use it and put it back on when not in use just like the factory option. It is slightly more difficult to install because the rear bumper cover has to come off but this is an easy job to accomplish with basic tools.

The other option is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" part # C13400 this one has lower capacities all the way around. Also it will sit below your current bumper changing the vehicle's looks. It is slightly easier to install however. In my experience it's worth the initial difficulty to maintain quality looks. You only do the installation once but you'll look at it every day.
