How thick of material will the grommet hold in. It looks like the material cant be any thicker than maybe an 1/8th of an inch. Can you confirm for me. Thanks

The grommet measures about 1/8" thick and the inner diameter is 1/4". The inner diameter of the front of the grommet where the light goes is 1". I have attached a diagram for your reference.
