License Plate Bracket for Cargo Carrier When It's Down For Use and Up For Storage
Updated 12/17/2019 | Published 12/16/2019 >
Question:
is there something to flip your tag up and down when you use a cargo carrier or when you have it lifted up or is that something I am going to have to make when I get one. I have only seen one and it looks cheap and its $80

I do have a potential solution for you, however we don't have a folding license plate holder available that you could use in different orientations, whether your hitch-mounted carrier is down for use or folded up against the rear of the vehicle.
The best option I can offer is to simply use a single license plate bracket like the Optronics # LPL55CB. You can use some wing nuts, washers, and bolts for mounting that let you easily move the bracket/plate when needed. You would drill a couple holes into the frame of the carrier for mounting the plate when it's down for use, and you could simply run the bolts through the mesh floor of the carrier when it's up for storage.
I have attached a short video review on this bracket below that you can also check out.
