Question:

I have a question about the following trail hitch: Draw-Tite Class IV Max Frame Round Tube Receiver Hitch # 75896 I see that it will fit a 2017 Toyota Highlander but will it fit a 2017 Toyota Highlander Hybrid?

Yes. The Draw-Tite # DT65MR is a confirmed fit on the 2017 Toyota Highlander Hybrid models. This is a fully welded 2" hitch receiver that will work well on your hybrid.

If you're planning on doing any towing with this new hitch, you'll need a wiring harness, ball mount and hitch ball to complete your towing setup. I recommend using the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118449, which plugs into your existing wiring and will provide you with a 4 way trailer connector to power the trailer lights. The Tekonsha wiring has a little higher amp rating than some of the other available wiring kits and in general we've found that they're a bit more reliable in the long term. For a ball mount and hitch ball I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which comes with 2 ball mounts and both a 1-7/8" and 2" hitch ball. This is a versatile kit that will provide you with the flexibility to tow a variety of setups right out of the bag.
