Would these rack work well on an outback .

The # RRRWP04 pads sure would, as long as the factory crossbars weren't wider than 3-1/2 inches or taller than 1-3/4 inches. 2 cam buckle equipped straps are included to secure your load to the crossbars, but I'd also recommend using bow/stern tie-downs like # RRRBAS2 (sold in a quantity of 1).
