Question:
I have a 2005 Pontiac Montana with the factory-installed side rails I believe they are 1 1/2 inch in diameter, and they are round. We will be taking a couple long trips this summer, and wondered if these would install on the side rails securely, as we will be buying a cargo bag to attach as well, and wanted to make sure they were both secure. Thanks!

Yes, the Thule Evo raised rail feet, # TH710401, work well on your 2005 Pontiac Montana SV6, with factory raised rails that run front to back. Along with the raised rail foot pack you will need a set of 47 inch SquareBars, # TH712200.
Since you will be taking long trips and need space for cargo, I would recommend going with a roof box rather than a bag. A roof box will protect your gear better and will not sit on the roof, possibly causing damage to the vehicle finish.
For a cargo bag I would recommend the Thule Outbound, # TH868, along with a basket to protect the roof of the vehicle like our best selling Thule Roof Cargo Basket, # TH859XT.
