We currently do not carry the strut for the Husky Truck Tool Box 40231540 but you may be able to use Replacement Lift Cylinder, Item # UWSLIFTCYLIND to replace the strut on your tool box. You will need to take some measurements.
This strut is 10" from the ball socket center to ball socket center. The ball stud is 9.75 mm. If your strut is 10" inches when it's extended and your ball stud is 9.75 mm diameter you shouldn't have any issue making the UWS strut work. The ball stud for the strut is part # UWSBALLSTUD.
