Troubleshooting Furrion Vision S Prewiring Not Active on Fifth Wheel
Published 11/29/2019 >
Question:
We have a fifth wheel per wired for Furrion camera. However I’m not getting power to the plug for the camera. I’ve turned on my marker lights. Really don’t want to take the unit in for service mostly due to time restraints. I have marker light just above the camera location that I would like to use for power. The instructions give no wiring other that plug in the connector. The provided cable has a plug for the camera and a red and black wire on the other end. What color wires from the light should I be connecting the red to as well as the black one. Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The wiring for the camera of the Furrion Kit part # FOS05TASF has two wires that need to be ran to turn on. The red wire would connect to the running light circuit power wire and the black to a ground. If your pre-wiring isn't active, you could try tracing it back to where it connects to the running light circuit, and I imagine that's where you'll find the issue. Or to bypass you can use included wiring that came with the kit and run it to the running light circuit like I mentioned.
