Will Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Work on 2016 Ford F-150 with Standard Bed

I have a 2016 F150 XLT SuperCrew with a standard bed. I am looking for a light weight fifth wheel hitch. Will this Anderson Ultimate Connection hitch work with my truck?

Yes, the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # AM3200 will work on your 2016 Ford F-150 as long as you have a set of above-bed, industry standard base rails installed. For this I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit # RP50087-58, which includes custom mounting brackets that will use existing holes in the frame rails of the truck so you don't have to drill into them during installation.
When you mentioned that you have a "standard bed" I assume you are referring to the 6-1/2 foot model. You will want to keep in mind that because the bed is shorter than 8 feet, you may have trouble making 90 degree turns without potentially running into cab interference with the trailer. The Andersen Ultimate does feature a 9" offset specifically designed to provide this cab clearance, but you will still want to be careful when making tight maneuvers.
If you go with this hitch it would be a good idea just to take the truck and trailer out to an empty parking lot to test your turning clearances before heading out on a trip.
